The Cast and Crew of the Porter series just won 12 Canadian Screen Awards for the first season of this series. I'm so blessed to have shot all the global artwork.
Congrats to all the Cast and Crew of @theporter_series on their 12!!! Canadian Screen Awards!!! I can’t thank you all enough for bringing me on to shoot the Global artwork for this series. What an absolute honour. Thanks to my friend since High School @canesugar_filmworks for bringing me on to such an inspiration project. Thank you @aplife @directedbyrt @cinesationelle & @superblackgirl @spheremedia_global @cbcgem @betplus All the actors I photographed for this project over one absolutely crazy day! @olunikeadeliyi @amlameenbaby @ronnierowejr @lorensharice @_mounatraore There absolutely has to be a new season of this Show! I’ll be here with excitement ready to create again!
My right hand and trusty assistant Jayson Williams flew to Winnipeg, Manitoba to shoot this project, we were right there onset in the main studio and i built out 2 different white setups although we only ended up shooting on one.
It was a super intense day, and we didn’t have time to execute the amount of setups that my clients hoped to get that day. All our actors were also on a filming schedule and our shoot day had to fit within it. There was no scheduled time to have all of them on set at the same time so we had to drop the group shot ideas.
I really loved the white setup that i created for this session. Although it looks super clean, this is a super complicated 3 light Rembrandt setup with blockers and v-flats. No highlight burnouts on that beautiful black skin. Get a light meter. Ahem.
I had about 30 minutes with each actor before they were obligated elsewhere, we shot this in aug 2021 at the height of c0v1d so we were all masked up and distancing.
This project has been one of the great highlights of my photo career. I love pouring my heart and soul into these commercial projects.
